The bossman gave us a few days off from work in October since we had been working so hard and I decided to hop across the pond to see the bro. He was studying for his Registration Exams and was busy with work, but he made time for me anyway! Oh, and just to show you how great a brother he is... he gave up a ticket to go to the first NFL game played in Europe to hang out with me! Yep, I've got an awesome family... (yes, I realize I don't always recognize this...)
I was on my own for three days, while my brother was at work. I hit the street hard and looked at Buckingham Palace (you can only go inside in the summertime, so that is why I just looked at it), walked through the garden, meandered around the streets of London, took a stroll through Hyde Park, got lost once and ended up in Notting Hill (that was a 2 1/2 hour walk home... yeah, I for some reason don't believe in public transportation... just ask Melanie or Matt). I went to Westminster Abbey (beautiful!), The Tower of London and Kensington Palace (which I was not so impressed with).
.
I also found my way to China Town where I picked up a couple (okay, probably six) sno-balls (i like to refer to them as coconut balls! They are sticky rice balls with peanuts, sugar and coconut inside and coconut stuck on the outside... I love them!!!
Warning - They don't travel very well. I brought one home for Stuart and it was good but just wasn't quite the same...
.
Even though I wasn't so impressed with Kensington Palace, I was quite impressed with the dog facilities outside of it!
On the weekend Matt and I went to the Tate Modern Museum and the main exhibit was a crack (or chasm as the museum refers to it) down the entire first floor of the building! I can't believe the artist was allowed to do this!
And now on to the best part!!! On Sunday, we went to CADBURY WORLD!!! Oh yes!
Here I am with The Bean!
(Matt and I also have a professional photo taken with The Bean, but unfortunately I do not have it scanned in at this time...)
Hahahahaha... Mattttt gotttt caugghhhhtttt!!!
And the loot!
(Matt was too embarrassed to check out with me!)
It was a great trip and so fun to hang out with Matt! Can't wait for tomorrow!

WOW, I just caught up on the past few months of your life. Although, I have heard all of these stories since you stalk my cube! I wish I had some of those chewy candies from Cadbury World...they were so good! I hope you are having fun with your family abroad. I need some entertainment so hurry home!
Woo hoo! What a great blog! We're now subscribed and we'll check it out for updates once a month, so no slackin!
We all had such a great time getting to know you all in the short time we had.
Hopefully there won't be too much time between now and the next time we meet.
Take care and stay in touch!
