First Annual Day of Baking Day!

This weekend my friend Bethany and I had the First Annual Day of Baking Day! We got started at 10am because we had a full menu (would you call it a menu?... oh well...) ahead of us.

We decided to make some cookies that my Aunt Becky had made for Thanksgiving and they were just oh so tasty I had to make some more (because I basically ate all of the ones she made...).
I realize these are not Christmas colors, but we were making them for Tiffani and she requested pink.

Here is Radek working hard...

Also on the list was Bethany's Honey Spice Bars. Oh, the memories of Honey Spice Bars...
Once we put in a tablespoon of salt instead of a teaspoon (we tried to pick as much of the excess salt out as possible, but obviously did not do a good job) and oh man those tasted pretty bad! However, Bethany and I still somehow managed to eat almost the entire batch... yes, we have problems.
Yes, that is a chopstick in her hair.

We also made Snickers Fudge. This was somewhat of a cluster, but it worked out pretty darn well in the end... I'll spare you the details, but let me just tell you that organic peanut butter doesn't melt well.
I didn't get a finished product photo of this one because I got tired and checked out after rolling and cutting out 85,946 gingerbread cookies.

And of course we made Ginger Bread Cookies. Are they supposed to not taste like much? Because ours didn't... but they sure were cute!
All in all, it was a great day of baking! But man was I pooped!
